Courtney Rogers is a 36-year-old mother who is about to give birth to her 11th baby in just 10 years. Her pastor husband Chris, 32, and she are thrilled to welcome their fifth little girl next month. Remarkably, over the last decade, the longest she has gone without being pregnant is just one month.

Among her brood of children, Courtney has only had one set of twins, with three pairs of siblings born less than 12 months apart. And every member of the Rogers clan has a name that starts with the letter ‘C’.

“I love being pregnant,” Courtney explained. She has never suffered from morning sickness and chooses not to use birth control. “I love growing another person inside me, thinking about what they will be like and picking out names. I am the only mom at our church who has lots of kids. I think the most anyone else has is four. But I have never been comfortable going on birth control, as I don’t like the idea of taking a pill, and I love having a big family.”

Courtney and Chris met at a church camp in 2007 and got married a year later. Their first pregnancy ended in a miscarriage, and five months later, they had their first son, Clint.

“We want to have 12 children, a family of 14 even,” Courtney said. “My husband is the oldest of 10, so before we got married, he joked about having as many children as his mom had. The kids want us to be like the film Cheaper by the Dozen, where the parents compromise their careers to raise 12 children.”

The family is eagerly looking forward to adding their 13th member in November. “Having several kids in diapers at once and lots of strollers is normal life to us,” Courtney shares.

While some may find it daunting to have such a large family, Courtney and Chris embrace it with open arms. They believe that every child is a blessing, and they are grateful for each one that they have been blessed with. Their story is a testament to the love and commitment that parents have for their children, no matter how many they may have.
